Official: Talks on gas pipe to S Korea via N Korea advanced

SEOUL, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- Talks on a gas pipeline from Russia to South Korea through North Korea are at an advanced stage, and Moscow hopes that political conditions for the implementation of the project will be created, Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said on Monday.

“The gas project is at the most advanced stage, but the political situation unveiling on the peninsula does not so far allow (us) to switch to practical implementation. We hope a lot that political conditions for the implementation of this project that is absolutely beneficial for the three sides will be created in the foreseeable future,” Morgulov said.
